MW3 set a new record high!!!!!

Modern Warfare 3, the latest installment in Activision's juggernaut shooter franchise, has set a new entertainment industry record for the biggest product launch of all time, selling 6.5 million copies in the U.S. and U.K. in its first 24 hours and earning $400 million in the process. That tops the $360 million Call of Duty: Black Ops made last year in its first 24 hours and the $310 million Modern Warfare 2 took in during its first day in 2009.
"We believe the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the biggest entertainment launch of all time in any medium, and we achieved this record with sales from only two territories," said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. "Other than Call of Duty, there has never been another entertainment franchise that has set opening day records three years in a row."
Kotick also points out that overall sales for the Call of Duty franchise now "exceed worldwide theatrical box office for 'Star Wars' and 'Lord of the Rings,' two of the most successful entertainment franchises of all time." Analysts expect Modern Warfare 3 to sell nearly 20 million units by the end of the calendar year, generating roughly $1.2 billion in revenue. Black Ops cracked the $1 billion mark in six months. Pre-orders for the game were also the biggest on record, and given that the last two installments of Modern Warfare previously held the launch record, this achievement isn't exactly a shocking one. It's still notable, though, given the competition Modern Warfare 3 faces this year from EA's Battlefield 3, which sold 5 million copies in its first week. Some also thought Call of Duty's numbers could be hampered by lingering negative feeling among core gamers following the abrupt dismissal of series creators Jason West and Vince Zampella after the release of Modern Warfare 2. Both factors put Modern Warfare 3 under the microscope, but the success of the game certainly backs up what analysts have been saying all along: Most players are more concerned about the game, rather than the developers behind it. And with so many people buying a copy, even those who held a grudge or resented the game because of its success, still purchased (and will likely purchase) the game so they can play with the people on their friends list. "Call of Duty is more than a game," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. "It's become a major part of the pop cultural landscape. It is a game that core enthusiasts love, but that also consistently draws new people into the medium."

Activision also announced that they've donated $3 million of the game's sales to the Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit corporation that seeks to provide job placement and training for veterans.

Pandora UPDATE for iOS 5

Pandora just got a huge update this morning to be fully compatible for iOS 5. I've been waiting for this update for a while now and they finally released it. They now support album artwork, track name, artist name and also u can skip to the next track on the lock screen as like the native iPod player in your iPhone does. Now the only thing they need to add is the LIKE & DISLIKE buttons on the lock screen. Here are some screen shots below of all the updates Pandora got. Get over to the app store and update or download Pandora now. Enjoy

Lines forming for iPhone 4s

Are you in line for the new iPhone 4s, well Steve Wozniak is at the Las Gatos, CA Apple Store. If you don't know, he was a co-founder of Apple along with Mr. Jobs. He is not a millionaire but he is in line to get his iPhone 4s. CNN interviewed him and here's how it went;

“At the front of this particular line Thursday, Steve Wozniak sits in a Pico armchair, sipping Diet Dr Pepper and scanning e-mails from his white iPad.

The Apple co-founder, who gets a paycheck of “a couple hundred dollars every two weeks” and still maintains his status as employee No. 1 in company records, hasn’t been able to stay put for long. Crowds of Apple fans, family friends and people who have seen him riding his Segway around the neighborhood stop to say hi, take pictures and ask for his autograph.

“I’ll be taking a thousand pictures,” Wozniak whispered with a smile. “I’m going to sit down and see if I can get a little e-mail done, because there’s no way I’m going to get it all done today.”

“I want to get mine along with the millions of other fans,” Wozniak said. “I just want to be able to talk to my phone.”

Daily iPhone Tip 10/12

Everyday I will be posting up a helpful iPhone tip that maybe you might not know yet. The tip for today is Syncing Facebook Friends with your iPhone Contacts: This is not exactly laid out for you so I will point you in the right direction. Very simple to do, just goto the Facebook app if you have it installed. Goto the Friends tab and on the top right corner click on the arrow. It will then ask to Find Friends or Sync Friends, from here you know what to do. If you turn on both options here then your contacts will stay updated and their profile pics as well. I gotta add; if your contact in your iPhone doesn't have the exact first and last name as their Facebook profile then the pic and profile won't be linked. This kinda sucks cause I have a lot of nicknames for some of my peeps but I just gotta suffer with their real names just so I can have their Facebook profile pics always up to date. I hope this helped someone out and make sure you come back for another iPhone Tip tomorrow.

iOS 5 available now!

Yes iOS 5 is out now to the public. Just plug your iDevice into ur iTunes and update away. Now just to make things clear, iOS 5 is only tethered jail broken so far but give it a few days but maybe a week and the untethered jailbreak should be available. Enjoy

iOS 5 untethered jailbreak

So it looks like we will be getting the untethered jailbreak for our long awaited iOS 5 for the iPhones, iPods & iPads, yea I said iPads that means both iPads will be included in this one. Go ahead and follow @i0n1c on Twitter for more info. It's been said that it will be released after the public release of iOS 5, so maybe a week tops after the 12th of this month. Leave a comment of what you think or if you have any questions. Now I'm excited, who else is???

Website Done For Now....

After about 4 hours of tweakin on this website, I'm done, well for now at least. I got most of what I wanted done. I attached all my social media, music, videos, and even made an iPhone icon for it. Go ahead and save this website to your homescreen and check out the icon I worked very hard on. Also give me some feedback on what you think of me combining all my social media & blog all on to one page.

Well I think my website is due for a facelift so guess whats on my agenda for the week? Yup facelift time. Should be all done by next weekend. BLOG or not to BLOG

So Google just finally released the BLOGGER app for iOS and you know I got it. I've had this BLOGGER account for about 2 years now and haven't really used it that much, lol. So I'm thinking about starting back up with blogging. What do you guys think? Let me know asap and we will see from there. Laterz
